Just thought I would share with you that it is now 7:10am on Saturday morning and I am ready to have church with the family of God.

We live in such a troubled world filled with deception and cruelty that the worship services at this church every week to me are an oasis in the wilderness. When the singing starts and the family of God lift their voices in unison I know God is going to show up and in His presence is fulness of joy!

God has been good to me for years and each day of my life in my own little way i want to say Thanks!!! that doesn't mean everyday is a great day. Just yesterday I was going through some old golf shirts that didn't fit anymore. I didn't realize how much weight I had lost. Gail was talking to me and I told her I don't think I will ever be that size again. She ministered to my manly ego by chiming in, "Probably not you'll just keep shrinking!" OHHHHHHHHHH that hurts my manly man ego and challenges my man card.

You may wonder what do you you do at moments that are real and not pleasant. Rejoce in the Lord. No matter what is going on in life God is always there, always encouraging, always understanding and always able to be your help. So today give Jesus some gratitude.

It is Wednesday and I have had an incredible day. I arose early and joined the guys and one gal for a really tough 50 minutes of workout. Stopped by Exxon at Longhollow and picked up my morning cup of coffee and then headed home for prayer and preperation for tonights message...all about the HEART!

I am so grateful for God's hand on my life this church and our future as the family of faith. God has the ability to make this year a yea of blessing and I believe that is His promise!

This weekend is FATHER'S DAY and I want you to make sure you honor your Father as well as learn from our Founding Fathers.

So much of their insight has been lost through the revisionist influence of history.

"Chop your own wood and it wil warm you twice!"   Henry Ford said that encouraging people to not seek a hand out but use their hands to move up.

I think it was JFK who gave us a quote that someone ought to tell the Bible rejecting liberals right now..."Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country!"

Anyway if you like those qoutes you will love this weekend at Cornerstone Church in Nashville.

Have a great day friends.
